ARISF Supports Members in Preparing for the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code
ARISF, in partnership with the International Testing Agency (ITA), is reinforcing its commitment to supporting its Members in preparation for the entry into force of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code.
Through a dedicated project fully financed by ARISF, Member Federations will benefit throughout 2026 from structured regulatory compliance support and targeted education guidance, ensuring full alignment with the new requirements.
The transition to the 2027 Code represents an important step for the global sporting community. Establishing robust, harmonised and future-ready anti-doping frameworks is essential not only for compliance, but also for reinforcing trust, legal certainty and fairness for athletes worldwide.
Through this collaboration, ARISF Members are guided at each stage of the transition process, from the development of tailored rule templates to individual consultations, structured review processes and the final adoption of compliant rules ahead of 2027. By providing early and coordinated support, ARISF aims to ensure consistency across its diverse membership while respecting the specificities of each sport.
This initiative builds on the existing cooperation between the ITA and a number of ARISF Member Federations, as well as on the ITA’s experience supporting the implementation of the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code across more than 60 International Federations.

In parallel, ARISF is also supporting a dedicated education initiative delivered by the ITA. As part of this project, a practical Anti-Doping Education Guide is being developed to assist National Federations in fulfilling their responsibilities in line with the 2027 International Standard for Education. The guide will provide clear and actionable direction on roles and responsibilities, cooperation with National Anti-Doping Organisations, and the effective use of existing educational resources.
By combining regulatory alignment with strengthened education frameworks, ARISF continues to support its Members in contributing to a more consistent, prevention-focused and harmonised global anti-doping system.
