Roy Baker has served as President of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) since 2019 and was re-elected for a second term in 2023. Under his leadership, WAKO has continued to strengthen its position within the Olympic Movement, following the achievement of full recognition by the International Olympic Committee.

A former World and European kickboxing champion, Mr Baker has dedicated much of his professional and sporting career to the development and governance of sport at both national and international levels. He previously served as President of Kickboxing Ireland and has held senior executive positions in the corporate sector, specialising in organisational transformation and strategic leadership.

Mr Baker was appointed to the ARISF Executive Board in 2026 and is committed to supporting the interests of IOC-recognised International Federations through collaboration, innovation and good governance.
