“It is a great pleasure to be here and have the opportunity to extend my warmest wishes for a fantastic European Junior Championship at this magnificent sporting center in the lovely City of Rome.
It is a time of great importance for the Bowls movement thanks to the commitment, passion, and enthusiasm of the World Confederation of Boules Sports World Confederation of Boules Sports President Claude Azema and FIB President Marco Giunio De Sanctis. Through a number of initiatives ARISF does promote the development of its International Sport Federations, like the World Confederation of Boules Sports, which I have had the chance to experience how it continues proving to be one of the fastest growing International Sport Federation. Sport is an extraordinary means to show and disseminate those values such as passion, loyalty and fair competition which are fundamental in our today’s’ society and it is in this spirit that I welcome this event, which that brings together people from all over Europe”.
